Dennis Dalelio is a Northern NJ based visual artist and art educator who creates paintings, photographs, installations, and whatever media fits his latest concept. He is known for large scale oil and acrylic paintings that explore both abstraction and representation and his work as a documentary photographer. Content in his paintings often explore the intersection of ordinary life with the search of the soul for God. His work has been shown throughout New York and New Jersey in group and solo shows and within private collections. He has also made several murals in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has been an art educator for over two decades in Paramus Public High School where he received the Lead Teacher of the Visual and Performing Arts position. He consistently volunteers as a host of documentary creating photography workshops for kids in urban areas throughout New Jersey during the summers. He founded the Highland Lakes Artist Group, a collection of creators from Highland Lakes, NJ who meet monthly to share their latest works. He is also the host and producer of the arts advocacy media collection called "The Stolen Hours Podcast' which recently launched in March of 2021. He received his MFA from William Paterson University in 2010 and his BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 1998. Dalelio lives with his wife, the artist Kristin Dalelio, and their 5 children in Highland Lakes, NJ.
